Rob Kloosterman of the Kalamazoo College men's cross country team was named the SAAC Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 26).
Kalamazoo ran at the Lansing CC Invite on Sept. 22 to continue its season and finished fifth out of 19 teams after scoring 199 points.
Kloosterman finished 39th overall with a personal best of 27:19, besting his previous best by 22 seconds that he set the week before. This helped the Hornets to their second top-five finish of the season. Klooster man spent the first part of his collegiate career at Aquinas College, running for the men's cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field programs.
The Hornets will next run at the Calvin Knight Invite on Friday (Sept. 29).
