The Kalamazoo College softball team lost its first two conference games of the season to Trine, 18-0 and 18-0, on Thursday.
Trine scored in each of the five innings in the first game while compiling 11 hits and taking advantage of seven Kalamazoo errors. Madeline Sinkovich had a single for Kalamazoo.
In the second game, Trine led 3-0 after the second inning before putting the game out of reach with 13 runs in the third inning. The Thunder had 11 hits in the game with 11 walks. Madeline Sinkovich doubled for Kalamazoo.
The Hornets return to action with a doubleheader at Hope on Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m.
