KALAMAZOO, Mich. The Kalamazoo College softball team played Hope in a doubleheader at home on Wednesday.
Hope scored three runs in the top of the first inning before adding another run in the sixth en route to a 4-0 win in the opener.
Isabella Kirck singled for Kalamazoo's only hit in the game.
The Hornets managed to get the bats going in game two and got themselves out to a 3-0 lead by the end of the top of the fifth.
Hayleigh Alamo drove in the first run on an RBI single in the top of the third.
After tacking on two more in the fifth, Hope answered in the bottom half of the inning driving in four runs.
K rattled off seven hits throughout game two led by Kirck who ended the game 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
The Hornets will look to bounce back in MIAA play this Saturday when they host Adrian. The Senior Day doubleheader begins at 2 p.m.
