CLERMONT, Fla. - The Kalamazoo College softball team lost its season opening games 4-0 to Anderson and 7-1 to Thomas on Thursday.
Game One
Anderson scored one run in the first inning, one in the fourth, and two in the fifth.
Andrea MacMichael had a double and a stolen base while also throwing out a runner at the plate from centerfield.
Keelin McManus also had a single.
Game Two
Thomas broke the scoreless tie with four runs in the top of the third inning. Kalamazoo got on the board with a run in the fourth, but Thomas added runs in the fifth and seventh innings to complete the win.
Ashley Schiffer was 2-for-3 while Alyssa Heitkamp had an RBI single.
Kalamazoo returns to action Friday with a pair of games beginning at 11:45 a.m.
