The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 62-40 to Defiance College at home on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets led 34-19 at halftime.
Defiance shot 36.4 percent while holding Kalamazoo to 26.9 percent. Defiance outrebounded Kalamazoo 48-34, including 16-9 on the offensive end resulting in 17 second chance points. The Yellow Jackets also scored 22 points off 23 Kalamazoo turnovers.
Emily Lindsay led Kalamazoo with 14 points while hitting 4-of-8 three pointers.
Nicole Antoine scored nine points with eight rebounds and four assists. India Hoskins scored eight points with five rebounds while Anne Colonius added six points with four rebounds.
Kalamazoo is scheduled to face Mount St. Joseph at home on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m.
