Women's Basketball defeated at Olivet, 69-37

The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 69-37 at Olivet on Saturday.

Kalamazoo trailed by nine points (26-17) with 4:56 left in the first half, but Olivet closed out the half with a 6-0 run to take a 32-17 lead into halftime. The Comets led by double digits throughout the second half.

Olivet shot 40 percent overall while holding Kalamazoo to just 23 percent. The Comets also sank 14-of-16 free throws compared to 6-of-7 for Kalamazoo. Olivet held a 55-33 advantage in rebounds, including 13-6 on the offensive end.

Emily Lindsay and Nicole Antoine led Kalamazoo with eight points apiece. Lindsay also had three steals while Antoine had three steals and four rebounds.

Anne Colonius scored five points with six rebounds. Holly Cooperrider and Hannah Maness each finished with four points.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Rochester College in non-conference play on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m.
