HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 104-64 at No. 5 Hope College on Saturday.
Kalamzoo played Hope close during the first five minutes of the game, but Hope extended its lead to double digits by the end of the first period and never looked back.
The Flying Dutch shot 46.7 percent overall on 92 total shots while Kalamazoo shot 41.4 percent on 58 attempts. Hope outrebounded Kalamazoo 55-31, including 26-5 on the offensive end.
Emily Kozal led Kalamazoo with 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Kelsey Adamski scored 15 points with five rebounds.
Grace Smith scored 10 points with five rebounds. Claire Slaughter finished with seven points and five rebounds while Mackenzie Norman added eight points and three rebounds.
Kalamazoo returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 20 when the Hornets host Rochester College in non-conference action.
