Women's Basketball to host "Pink Game" Wednesday

The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team is hosting its annual "Pink Game" this week against Hope College on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m.

The team will donate sales of tickets as well as any additional funds contributed to the Angel Wings Foundation. Angel Wings was founded by former Alma College Women's Basketball Coach Keisha Brown after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and is named after her own daughter. Angel Wings was created to provide support to children who have lost a parent to cancer. Another mission of the Angel Wings Fund is to raise awareness and cancer education in the schools.

Again this year, several MIAA teams – Alma, Albion, Olivet, Kalamazoo, and Saint Mary's – are joining efforts and raising funds to support the Angel Wings Fund in honor of Coach Brown, who passed away after fighting cancer four times.
