Women's Basketball falls at No. 7 Hope

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 91-52 at No. 7 Hope College on Saturday.

The game was even during the first five minutes before Hope closed out the first quarter up 23-15.

The Hornets trailed by 4 (25-21) in the second quarter before Hope outscored Kalamazoo 27-12 to take a 52-33 into halftime and led the rest of the way.

Hope shot 42.7 percent overall while holding Kalamazoo to 29.7 percent. The Flying Dutch sank 19-of-24 free throws while Kalamazoo made 2-of-4.

Hope outrebounded Kalamazoo 59-40, including 20-14 on the offensive end.

Suzanne Milled led Kalamazoo with 22 points while sinking four 3-pointers.

Mya Gough scored eight points with eight rebounds off the bench. Amanda Moss added six points and three assists while Libby Munoz finished with five points and four rebounds.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Trine on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 6 p.m.
