NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 87-51 to Westminster (Pa.) Friday at Manchester.
Kalamazoo fell behind early and trailed 28-8 after the first quarter. Kalamazoo outscored Westminster 19-16 in the second quarter but still trailed 44-27 at halftime. The Titans outscored the Hornets by seven in the third quarter and 12 in the fourth.
Westminster shot 44.6 percent overall while sinking 15-of-17 free throws. Kalamazoo shot 28.6 percent overall while making 16-of-20 free throws. Westminster outrebounded Kalamazoo 51-27 overall, including 20-6 on the offensive end.
Georgie Andrews led the Hornets with 16 points and nine rebounds while making 7-of-8 free throws.
Isabelle Clark added 12 points while Kaytlyn Tidey finished with nine.
Kalamazoo is back in action Saturday in the consolation game at 1 p.m. against either Manchester or MacMurray.
