Women's Basketball Defeated at Albion

ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 90-57 in MIAA play at Albion College on Wednesday. 

Albion scored the first 12 points of the game, but Kalamazoo battled right back making it a 14-10 game after three minutes of play. The Hornets fell behind again by 10 (23-13) before closing out the quarter on a 12-5 run cutting the deficit to three (28-25). The Hornets made it a two-point game early in the second quarter before falling behind 45-32 at halftime. Albion outscored Kalamazoo 24-17 in the third quarter and 21-8 in the fourth as the Britons improved to 9-1 on the season.

Albion shot 47.2 percent overall while limiting Kalamazoo to 33.9 percent. Each team had 41 rebounds.

Isabelle Clark led Kalamazoo with 20 points, four assists, and two steals.

Kaytlyn Tidey finished with 19 points while sinking six 3-pointers, one short of the school record. 

Sierra Fraser led the Hornets with nine rebounds while scoring five points with three assists. Georgie Andrews grabbed eight rebounds with six points and five assists.

Kalamazoo is back in action Saturday, Dec. 21 at Defiance.
