HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team fell in a road match-up at No. 3 Hope with a final score of 104-39.
The Hornets fought tough in the first quarter as they connected on five of eight field-goal attempts leading to 14 points, but were unable to contain the Hope offense as the Dutch tallied 25 points of their own.
Hope out-scored Kalamazoo 30-12 in the second quarter to take a 55-26 lead into halftime.
The Dutch offense scored 49 points in the second half and held Kalamazoo to 13.
The Hornets shot 28.8 percent from the floor (15-52) and made six of 19 three-pointers.
Kaytlyn Tidey led the Kalamazoo offense with 13 points as she made three of her seven three-point attempts.
Sierra Fraser collected a team-high six rebounds as she and Isabelle Clark each added six points.
Kalamazoo returns to play on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Adrian College at 7:30 p.m.
