ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost Wednesday evening at Adrian as the Bulldogs edges the Hornets 65-58.

Adrian held a slim 16-14 edge at the end of a first-quarter in which Kalamazoo led for the majority of the 10 minutes. The Hornets were outscored 17-11 in the second quarter to go down 33-25 at the break.

Trailing 53-40 heading into the final quarter, Kalamazoo was within three points with just over four minutes remaining. Adrian proved to be tough on the defensive end as it held the Hornets scoreless for the remainder of the game to claim the victory.

Kalamazoo converted on 22 of its 74 shot attempts and made seven of 29 tries from beyond the three-point arc.

The Hornet defense caused 16 Adrian turnovers as Kalamazoo had just nine of its own.

Isabelle Clark added 10 points while Mya Gough had nine of her own.

Sierra Fraser collected a team-leading 10 rebounds while making all six of her free-throw tries.
