GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team fell on the road at Calvin University on Wednesday evening by a final score of 76-40.

The two teams played a back-and-forth first four minutes in the first quarter as a pair of Isabelle Clark free throws tied the game at seven with 6:15 to play in the quarter. The Knights used a 16-2 run to close out the opening frame and took a 23-9 lead.

The Hornets held tough throughout the middle quarters as they allowed 14 points while scoring 12 of their own in the second quarter. Fifteen more points in the third quarter were not enough, however, as Calvin scored 21 of its own. The host Knights sealed the game with an 18-4 advantage in the final 10 minutes.

Kalamazoo finished the game shooting 16 for 61 from the floor and made five of their eight free-throw attempts. The team assisted on nine of their 16 made baskets.

Sierra Fraser led the team on the offensive end with 10 points as she made five of eight shots.

Isabelle Clark added nine points of her own while Georgie Andrews scored seven and collected six rebounds.

Mya Gough tallied a team-best eight rebounds while scoring six points.

Kalamazoo returns home on Saturday, Feb. 15 for Alumni Day against Saint Mary's. The game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
