Women's Basketball Season Ends in MIAA Tournament

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team's season came to an end with a 115-55 loss at No. 1 Hope College in the MIAA Tournament Quarterfinals on Monday.

The Flying Dutch led 13-5 midway through the first quarter. Hope ended the quarter on a 17-8 run to lead 30-13 after the first. Hope led 57-21 at halftime. Kalamazoo's best quarter came in the fourth when the Hornets were outscored by just two, 28-26.

Hope shot 52.6 percent from the field while limiting Kalamazoo to 31.4 percent. Hope also held a 48-28 advantage in rebounds.

Isabelle Clark led the Hornets with 16 points.

Christiana Hunt scored a career-high 15 points with four rebounds.

Jayla Gill added nine points while Kylah Davis finished with seven.
