Laila Vincent was named SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
Vincent averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 blocks in two games last week. She had a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds in an 80-76 overtime win at Calumet College on Saturday before scoring 21 points with nine rebounds and four blocked shots on Sunday against Eureka College.
On the season, Vincent is second on the team in scoring with 11.8 points per game while leading the team with 8.8 rebounds per game.
The women's basketball team is back in action Wednesday, Dec. 1 as the Hornets host Olivet at 7 p.m. in the MIAA opener for both teams.
