The 2015 Kalamazoo College women's golf team returns two seniors in hopes of a successful 2015-16 season.

Seniors Sarah Manski and Jenna Wood, notably both captains for the Hornets, headline the golfers returning for the 2015-16 season.

Manski, who was voted the team's most valuable player last season, posted a scoring average of 95.8 overall and 94.6 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play. She recorded a career low 87 twice in 2014-15.

Wood returns to the Hornets after a season where she recorded a scoring average of 111.

"I expect them to bring leadership both on and off the course," Director of Golf Mitch Wilson said. "They'll bring the team together as one and get everyone excited about competing."

Hanna Teasley and Suzanne Miller are likely to compete in events for K throughout the fall season. Miller also competes for the women's soccer team during the fall season.

Joining the returners for the upcoming season are freshmen Claire Kalina of Brighton, Mich., Lexi Ugelow of Bedford, Mass. and Cydney Martel of Gull Lake, Mich. Kalina shot an average of 94 last summer on the Adams Junior Tour while Martel was named All-State honorable mention in her junior season and led her conference with a 9-hole average of 41.

The Hornets begin their season at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational on Sept. 4 and host their lone MIAA Jamboree event on Sept. 26.
