The Kalamazoo College women's golf team saw Marissa Kovac, Sydney Pickell, and Ella Szczublewski named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team on Thursday (July 6).
To qualify, the student-athlete must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season, and have participated in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
There were 1,401 women's golfers that were selected from 378 programs across the NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA levels. Kovac and Pickell are both majoring in business, while Szczublewski is majoring in biochemistry. All three were letterwinners for the women's team this past season, and Pickell was an All-MIAA First Team performer.
