Women's Lacrosse Falls at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team lost 22-7 at the University of Mount Union on Saturday.

The host Raiders scored the first six goals of the game before taking a 15-3 lead into halftime. Mount Union outscored Kalamazoo 7-4 in the second half to secure the win and remain undefeated (3-0).

Mount Union outshot Kalamazoo 33-11. Kalamazoo held an 18-11 advantage in draw controls.

Rachel Madar led the Hornets with five goals, 10 ground balls, and 14 draw controls.

Sam Jacobsen and Leah Tardiff both scored on their only shot attempts of the game.

Lilly Baumann was credited with two assists.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to play its home opener against Cleary on Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. The match with Rochester on March 10 was canceled.
