KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Hannah Wolfe of the Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team has been named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week for her performance last week's games.
Wolfe, a senior from West Bloomfield, Mich. (Bloomfield Hills HS) was a strong support to the defensive force for the Hornets in a pair of wins this past week. She collected four ground balls in Kalamazoo's 22-15 win over Trine, and led the team with six ground balls in a 20-9 victory against Hope. She also scored one goal on one shot attempted for her third goal of the season. She caused two opponent turnovers against the Thunder and five against Hope.
Wolfe is a three-year defensive starter for the Hornets. She leads the team this season in caused turnovers with 21 and has recorded three goals, 35 ground balls and 15 draw controls won.
Kalamazoo starts the MIAA Tournament on April 24 against Albion in the No. 5 seed.
