Tessa Fuller of the Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team was selected as the MIAA Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week on Monday (Mar. 11). This is the first time in her first collegiate lacrosse season that Fuller has been named an MIAA Player of the Week.

The Hornets continued their season with a home game against Aquinas on Mar. 6 and a road game at Franklin on Mar. 9. Kalamazoo has now won four straight games with a 22-5 win over the Saints and an 18-1 win over the Grizzlies.

Fuller was the top point-getter for the Hornets this past week, scoring seven goals and collecting 11 assists for 18 points. She scored her seven goals on 11 shots, with one being with a person advantage, and also added six ground balls plus three caused turnovers. Against AQ, Fuller set a new single-game program record with eight assists, breaking the previous record of five that three people held. She also had the second most points in a single game at K after adding the two goals against Aquinas. She had another big game against Franklin with five goals and three assists for eight points. Through five games this season, Fuller has 17 goals, 13 assists, 30 points, 10 ground balls, and four caused turnovers.

Kalamazoo will continue its season with a single game against North Central on Saturday (Mar. 16).
