The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team lost 3-2 at Calvin on Saturday.
Jackie Short scored the game's first goal in the 12th minute (Maya Smolcic assist).
Calvin tied the score in the 15th minute before taking a 2-1 lead in the 27th minute.
The Knights led 2-1 into the 75th minute before another score gave Calvin a 3-1 advantage.
Short's second goal of the game made it 3-2 in the 82nd minute (Jenna Sexton) assist, but the Hornets were unable to score again in the final eight minutes.
Calvin outshot Kalamazoo 22-10 overall, including 12-4 on goal.
Lucy Mailing made nine saves in goal for the Hornets.
Kalamazoo returns home to face Hope on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
