Kalamazoo College defender Allie Brodsky was named MIAA women's soccer defensive player of the week. Brodsky, a sophomore from West Bloomfield (Birmingham Marian HS), played both center back and midfielder, helping the Hornets allow only one goal for the week in recording a win and a tie against MIAA opponents. She played a major role in limiting the opponents' offensive chances in a 1-1 tie against Albion and a 2-0 victory over Adrian. It's the first time Brodsky has been named Player of the Week in her career.
Brodsky and the rest of her teammates will look to continue their defensive success Saturday, Sept. 27 when they face conference opponent Calvin on the road.
