The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team picked up three more points in the Michigan Intecollegiate Athletic Association Saturday afternoon as it defeated Trine University in overtime on the road, 2-1.

Madison Moote got the Hornets on the board less than a minute into the game as she stole the ball from a defender and finished her shot past the Trine goalkeeper.

After holding a 1-0 lead at halftime, the Thunder responded in the 57th minute to level the score.

Through 90 minute, the game stood in the balance, but Christina Dandar made the breakthrough for Kalamazoo in the 100th minute of play as she scored off a free kick played in by Sarah George.

Kalamazoo outshot Trine 29-11 in the match and Head Coach Bryan Goyings noted a couple of unsuspecting players did well for the Hornets on the afternoon.

"Zoe Barnes and Ella Schodowski have not seen a ton of minutes this year and I thought both of them stepped up for us today," he said.

With the win, K now holds a 6-3-1 record in the MIAA and will head home for a a game with St. Mary's on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
