Women's Soccer Wins at Hiram

HIRAM, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team won 3-0 at Hiram College on Saturday.

The first half was scoreless despite Kalamazoo outshooting Hiram 13-3.

Kalamazoo got on the board in the 58th minute on a goal by Kai Ketola.

Nearly 30 more minutes passed before Julie Zabik scored in the 87th minute (Libby Munoz assist). Josie Sibley added a goal with 20 seconds remaining (Zabik assist).

Kalamazoo outshot Hiram 28-8 overall.

Hannah Wolfe made five saves in goal for the shutout.

"Superb effort by the group for the win tonight," said Coach Bryan Goyings. "I was very happy with the team's fight in the second half. The persistence of the group to score in the second half resulted in several excellent goals."

Kalamazoo is back in action Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. at Wooster.
