WOOSTER, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team dropped its match against the College of Wooster on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 2-0.

The Fighting Scots got on the board just 5:17 into the game to obtain a 1-0 lead. A second goal in the 59th minute secured the 2-0 victory for Wooster.

Rosella LoChirco led Kalamazoo with two shots, and both were on net.

Hannah Wolfe and Maddie Odom split time in goal for the Hornets and each allowed one goal.

Kalamazoo was outshot 15-11 in the match and Wooster held a 7-6 advantage in shots on goal.

"I thought we played our best soccer in the first half," said Coach Bryan Goyings. "Despite generating some strong scoring opportunities, we struggled to overcome their first goal which proved to be the difference of the day."

The Hornets return to play Saturday, Sept. 21 at the University of Chicago at 1 p.m. EDT.
