KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Libby Munoz of the Kalamazoo College women's soccer team was honored Monday afternoon by the MIAA as this week's Offensive Player of the Week.

Munoz, a senior from Leland Mich. (Leland HS), scored four goals for the Hornets this week as she found the back of the net twice at Albion on Wednesday and again against Saint Mary's on Saturday.

Her four goals this week give her seven on the season and place her in a tie for fourth-most in the MIAA. Munoz also has the fifth-most points in the league this year with 15.

Munoz has been named to the All-MIAA First Team in each of the last two seasons as she has led Kalamazoo in scoring each year.

"Libby was a major part of the team's two MIAA wins this past week," said Head Coach Bryan Goyings. "Scoring goals is oftentimes one of the more difficult things to do on a soccer field and Libby has excelled at that throughout her career. She is a fierce competitor that wants nothing more than for the team to be successful. It is exciting to see her find an attacking rhythm, especially as we approach the conclusion of league play and the start of the conference tournament."

Munoz and the Hornets will wrap up the regular season this week at Olivet on Wednesday before hosting Alma on Saturday. The MIAA Tournament is scheduled to begin on Saturday, Nov. 2.
