OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team topped Olivet on Wednesday in a road contest that ended 4-1.

Libby Munoz got the Hornets on the board early this evening as she scored her first of two goals under eight minutes into the match. Rocella LoChirco assisted on the play.

Julie Zabik doubled the Kalamazoo lead less than 20 minutes later as she found the back of the net for the third time this season.

Joy Hunziker tallied her first goal of the season off a Catie Stamper assist in the 71st minute to put the Hornets up 3-0.

After an Olivet goal in the 77th minute, Munoz picked up her ninth goal of the season and second of the match just 10 minutes later to score Kalamazoo's fourth and final goal. Amiee Hutton assisted Munoz on the play.

The Hornets outshot the Comets 22-14 during the match.

Hannah Wolfe tallied five saves while playing all 90 minutes in goal.

"The early goal on the road again allowed us to dictate the pace of the game," said Coach Bryan Goyings. "It was also fantastic to see both Julie and Joy register goals on the day. Hunziker's effort really helped put the game away. Libby's second goal was the 101st point of her career. It is a tremendous accomplishment, but I also know the most important points for her were the three points we gained in the standings."

Kalamazoo returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 26 when it hosts Alma for its final regular-season game of the year. The match is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. at MacKenzie Field.
