KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Julie Zabik of the Kalamazoo College women's soccer team was selected by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as this week's Hornet of the Week.
Julie came up big for the Hornets this past week as she assisted on all three Kalamazoo goals in the semifinal and final rounds of the MIAA Tournament.
Her two assists in the semifinal game against Hope sealed Kalamazoo's ticket into the finals against Adrian. She assisted Josie Sibley on the lone goal against the Bulldogs in what was a 4-1 loss for the Hornets.
The senior wrapped up her final season with three goals and three assists including one game-winning goal. She started every game for Kalamazoo the last two seasons and started 19 of 20 games during her sophomore campaign.
The forward tallied 24 points throughout her career including eight goals and eight assists.
