GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team fell 3-0 to No. 1 Calvin in the Championship of the MIAA Tournament on Friday night.

Calvin scored all three of its goals in the first half of play. They went up 1-0 with a goal in the first minute of the contest off a corner kick, scoring again eight minutes later and capping off the 3-0 win with one last goal at 37:21.

The Knights outshot Kalamazoo 13 to eight. They had seven shots attempted on goal while the Hornets were held to just one. Kalamazoo earned more corner kicks with seven to Calvin's five.

Olivia DePauli and Lauren McColley each had two shot attempts. Kai Ketola had one shot, the lone shot on goal for the Hornets, at 66:48. Hannah Wolfe had four saves in goal.

"Calvin was outstanding tonight and a deserving champion," Head Coach Bryan Goyings said. "They had a superb start and we were never able to catch up."

Kalamazoo finished the season second in the MIAA with an overall 6-3 record, 4-2 in conference play.
