Women's Swimming and Diving Receives honors from CSCAA

The Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving team earned the 2014-15 Scholar All-America Team Award again this quarter. The award, given out by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is given to programs that achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the spring semester/quarter. As a team, Kalamazoo had a 3.40 grade point average.

In addition, Colleen Orwin was named a Scholar All-American while Hannah Olsen, Lauren Seroka, Madeline Woods and Miranda Doepker were named Honorable Mention Scholar All-Americans. To qualify for Scholar All-America honors, student-athletes needed to achieve a 3.5 grade point average or better and have participated in their respective national championships. To qualify for Honorable Mention Scholar All-America honors, student-athletes needed to achieve a 3.5 GPA and have a "B" time or better in their respective event.
