Women's Swimming & Diving wins three events on Friday at MIAA's

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving team is in second place with one day remaining at the MIAA Championships.

Kalamazoo has 458 points, 32 ahead of Hope and 113 behind Calvin.

The 200 Medley Relay kicked off the night with a championship while breaking school and conference records with a time of 1:43.95 (Christina Park, Ellen Neveux, Colleen Orwin, Tristyn Edsall).

Orwin followed that up with her second consecutive championship in the 400 IM with a "B" time of 4:27.21.

Edsall took home a championship in the 100 breaststroke with a "B" time of 1:04.35 after breaking the school record in prelims (1:03.83). Molly Logsdon finished second with a "B" time of 1:04.78.

Park finished second in two events, the 100 butterfly (:57.20) and the 100 backstroke (:57.97).

Saturday's finals are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. with senior recognition scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
