KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee announced on Tuesday that Claire Cebelak was honored as the Hornet of the Week.
Claire had a big week for Kalamazoo as the senior was the top finisher in the 500 freestyle as she touched the wall at 5:27.61. She also finished second to Mary Trimble in the 200 freestyle by posting a 2:01.37. In her third event, Cebelak split :26.6 in the 200 freestyle relay as the team finished in third place.
Earlier this season, Cebelak finished second in the 500 freestyle against Calvin as she has already bettered her time from that event by 12 seconds.
Cebelak and the Hornets return to the pool on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Hope College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
