KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving team had split results during the first meet in the new natatorium on Saturday.
Kalamazoo defeated Alma 190-73 and lost 208-83 to Saginaw Valley State University.
The 200 Free Relay posted the top scored time of 1:44.63 in the last event of the day (Ava Williams, Camille Misra, Kelsey Logsdon, Mya Richter).
Camille Misra took first place in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:00.27.
Eve Petrie finished second in the 3-meter diving event (196.10). Petrie also finished third in the 1-meter diving event (187.75). Emily Tenniswood finished third in the 200 IM (2:29.20).
The Hornets also had a number of fourth-place finishes including the 200 Medley Relay (1:57.72, Camille Misra, Emily Tenniswood, Mya Richter, Ava Williams), Ella Palacios (1000 Free, 11:55.28), Ava Williams (200 Free (2:09.37), Katie Larick (100 Breast, 1:17.81), Emily Tenniswood (200 Fly, 2:29.68), Mya Richter (50 Free, :26.71), Kelsey Logsdon (50 Free, :26.71), Ava Williams (100 Free, :58.54), Kate Haywood (200 Back, 2:24.73), and Sarah Densham (3M, 170.55).
The Hornets compete again next week Friday at the MIAA Relays before hosting Illinois Tech on Saturday at 1 p.m.
