Women's Swimming & Diving Compete at SVSU Tri-Meet with Alma

CENTER, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving competed in the Saginaw Valley Tri-Meet on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 8), which included Alma. The Hornets split the day with a 197-84 win over Alma and a 232-66 loss to Saginaw Valley.

In total, there were 11 top four of their events, including two first-place finishes, one second-place finish, three third-place finishes, and six fourth-place finishes.

In diving events, Sarah Densham led the diving team after finishing third in the 1-meter with a score of 196.45 and also finished third in the 3-meter after scoring 203.90. Sam Vande Pol had fourth-place finishes in the 1-meter at 190.40 and the 3-meter at 193.45.

Camille Misra won two events on the day in the 100 Back (58.57) and 200 Back (2:07.76). Misra was also a part of two relay teams in the 200 Free Relay (1:44.11) with Mya Richter, Hailey Yoder, and Olivia Bagwell that finished second and the 200 Medley Relay (1:54.84) with Richter, Mary Ellen Muenzenmaier, and Frannie Turner that finished fourth.

Finishing in third in the 200 Free was Yoder (2:08.66), while the remaining fourth-place finishes went to Turner in the 200 Fly (2:20.95), Richter in the 50 Free (25.99), and Muenzenmaier in the 200 Breast (2:41.90).

The Hornets compete again on Friday (Oct. 14) in a dual at Albion, beginning at 5 p.m
