Sarah Densham of the Kalamazoo College women's swimming & diving team was selected as the MIAA Women's Diver of the Week on Monday (Oct. 17). This is the second time this season and for her career that Densham has earned the honor.

The women's swimming & diving team traveled to compete against Albion in an MIAA dual. The Hornets were narrowly defeated 120-118 by the Britons in Kalamazoo's first dual of the season.

Densham won the 1-meter diving event by scoring 209.40, five points better than the second-place finisher. That score was already 13 points better than the Hornets' first season competition the week before. Later in the dual, Densham took second in the 3-meter event behind teammate Sam Vande Pol by a single point. Her score of 210.75 was a seven-point improvement from the previous week.

In her career, there has only been one other time that Densham has scored higher in the 1-meter event when taking six attempts. That was back in her first year when she put up 218.90 points. Her career-best for six attempts in the 3-meter event came last season when Densham scored 229.57.

The Hornets compete again on Friday (Oct. 21) in the MIAA Relays (hosted by Calvin), beginning at 5 p.m.
