Sam Vande Pol of the Kalamazoo College women's swimming & diving team rounded out the NCAA DIII Diving Central Regional with a 20th-place finish on Saturday (Feb. 25).
Friday, Feb. 24
Day one of the competition was the 3-meter for the women and Vande Pol finish 16th out of 34 divers. She ended up with a score of 365.35, which was the second-best among MIAA divers. Hope's Abigail Koops finished fourth with 418.80 points.
Saturday, Feb. 25
In the 1-meter on day two, Vande Pol came away with a 27th-place finish after scoring 322.25 points. Two divers from Hope finished ahead of Vande Pol with Koops finishing ninth with 371 points and Sophia Farbarzhevich coming in 20th at 337.75 points.
Overall, Vande Pol came away with a 20th-place finish with 687.60 points.
