CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team defeated Luther College 8-1 in regional play on Sunday at Coe College.
Kalamazoo swept the three doubles points before winning five of the six singles matches for the team win.
Sarah Woods and Sabrina Dass won 9-7 at one doubles while Maria Franco and Olivia Bouchard won 8-4 at two doubles. Cheryl Zhang and Carrie Foura started the sweep with an 8-3 win at three.
Woods (1), Franco (3), Bouchard (4) and Foura (6) each won in straight sets in singles. Dass won 6-7(4), 6-2, 10-7 at two singles.
Kalamazoo returns home to face Denison University on Saturday, Feb. 7 before opening conference play at home against Alma College on Sunday.
