Kalamazoo College's Ella Knight was named MIAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday.
Knight, a senior from Leesburg, Ind. (Warsaw HS), was 2-0 in the season-opening match against NCAA Division II Davenport University on Saturday inside the Markin Center.
Knight and Meghan Killmaster won 8-3 at three doubles. Knight lost the first set at five singles, but rallied to win 5-7, 6-1, 10-3.
This is Knight's second career MIAA Player of the Week honor.
The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team is back in action at home Friday, Feb. 25 at 4 p.m. against Case Western. The Hornets then host Oberlin on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 12 p.m.
