The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost its MIAA opener 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-19) at Alma on Tuesday.

Kelsey Hill led the Hornet offense with 10 kills. Quinn McCormick was second with nine kills.

Alex Gothard recorded 20 assists while Nya Greenstone had a team-high 14 digs.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Calvin on Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m.
