Volleyball defeats Alma at home, 3-1

Nya Greenstone playing volleyball.

The Kalamazoo College volleyball team won an exciting four-set match, 3-1, in the Anderson Athletic Center on Friday.

After dropping the first set 25-22, Kalamazoo came back to win three straight sets (25-16, 25-22, 25-23) to win the match.

Kalamazoo had a hitting percentage of .203 in the match compared to .131 for Alma. Each team had seven blocks.

Nya Greenstone led Kalamazoo with 18 kills and 16 digs.

Kelsey Hill had nine kills with five block assists.

Olivia Cares and Johanna Kupe each finished with eight kills. Quinn McCormick has seven kills.

Alex Gothard had 44 assists in the match with three kills.

Allison Liddane had a team-high 28 digs while Morgan Clothier finished with 16.

Kalamazoo returns to action on Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at Calvin.
