Kalamazoo College's Nya Greenstone and Alex Gothard earned MIAA Volleyball Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Greenstone, a senior from Ann Arbor (Pioneer HS), had 15 kills for a .325 hitting percentage and added 14 digs as the Hornets swept Adrian in an MIAA match last Wednesday. She is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Gothard, a senior from Bloomfield Hills (Birmingham Seaholm HS), earned Specialty Player of the Week honors as she dished out 37 assists and added 10 digs and three service aces in her final home match as the Hornets avenged an earlier loss to Adrian by sweeping the Bulldogs. Gothard is being honored as Specialty Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Kalamazoo returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Hope College.
