Volleyball Falls to No. 18 Hope

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost in three sets to No. 18 Hope College on Tuesday inside Anderson Athletic Center.

Despite being limited to single digits in the first and third sets, Kalamazoo played a strong second set before eventually falling 26-24. Kalamazoo led 22-21 late in the set before the Flying Dutch won five of the next eight points to claim the win.

Shelby Suseland led Kalamazoo with six kills and four blocks in the match.

Rachel Girard had four kills with eight digs. Madi Goodmand and Kate Schultz each had three kills while Schultz also finished with 11 digs and three blocks.

Zoey Ammon led the team with 11 assists while Maddie Wojcik had a team-high 17 digs.

Kalamazoo returns to action Saturday, Oct. 6 with a pair of non-conference matches at Franklin College.
