Volleyball Wins Non-Conference Matches

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team won a pair of non-conference matches at Grace Christian University on Saturday.

Kalamazoo defeated Grace Christian 3-0 in the opener before defeating Rochester 3-2 in the second match.

Kalamazoo vs. Grace Christian

Kalamazoo defeated Grace Christian 25-14, 25-14, 25-19.

Madi Goodman led the Hornets with nine kills and a .500 attack percentage. Maria Katrantzi had seven kills with a .462 attack percentage. Ashley Rill had six kills.

Grace Kraft led the team with 15 assists while McKenna Hepler had a team-high nine digs.

Kalamazoo vs. Rochester

Kalamazoo won the first two sets 25-18, 25-20 before Rochester evened up the match with 25-14, 25-23 wins in sets three and four. Kalamazoo won the match with a 15-7 win in the fifth set.

Madi Goodman led the team with 20 kills. Lindsey Nedd finished with 10.

Grace Kraft had 25 assists while Hannah Kerns had 18. 

Taylor Ferguson led the team with 22 digs while Ashley Rill had 15.

Kalamazoo returns to league play on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at Trine.
