Volleyball Comes Up Short Against No. 21 Hope

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team came up short in a 3-0 defeat at home to No. 21 Hope College on Friday.

The two teams were close throughout the first set with Hope eventually prevailing 30-28. Hope won the second set 25-15. The Hornets were right there again in set three before Hope won the final two points to win 25-22.

Hope hit .170 for the match compared to .072 by Kalamazoo. Each team had four service aces.

Lindsey Nedd led the Hornets with 12 kills and 10 digs.

Madi Goodman had seven kills. Megan Williams finished with five kills and 14 digs. Ashley Rill had four kills and 10 digs.

Rorie Dougherty led the Hornets with 25 assists. Taylor Ferguson led the team with 22 digs.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to compete at home again on Monday, April 5 at 7 p.m. against Adrian.
