SANDUSKY, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team won its opening match in four sets over Kenyon College on Friday in the MIAA-HCAC Crossover at the Cedar Point Sports Complex.
Kalamazoo defeated Kenyon 25-17, 25-16, 19-25, 25-23.
Halley Johnson led the Hornets with 12 kills and nine digs. Ann Lawrence added 11 kills with a .333 attack percentage.
Rorie Doughery led the team with 22 assists while Lizzy Rachiele had a team-high 33 digs. Ashley Rill finished with 12 digs.
Kalamazoo is scheduled to face Allegheny and Oberlin beginning Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.
