Volleyball Falls on the Road at North Park

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost in three sets on the road at North Park University Friday night, 25-14, 25-12, 25-9. The host Vikings (14-4) are receiving votes in the latest AVCA national poll.

Kalamazoo led 3-2 in the first set and trailed by just three (14-11) before North Park went on a 8-0 run and won 11 of the last 14 points to win the set.

The Hornets trailed by four (13-9) before North Park won 12 of the last 15 points to win the second set. 

Kalamazoo fell behind 7-0 in the third before cutting the deficit to four (11-7). The Hornets trailed by six (14-8) before North Park won 11 of the last 12 points to win the set and the match.

Charlotte Ruiter led Kalamazoo with five kills in the match.

Jana Molby had six assists while Sara Reathaford added four. 

Lizzy Rachiele led the team with five digs. Morgan Shearer finished with four.

Kalamazoo returns to conference play on Monday with a 6:30 p.m. match at Alma.
