SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College split a pair of matches Friday night at the Showdown in the Woods hosted by Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.

Kalamazoo vs. Midway

Kalamazoo lost its opening match of the 2023 season to Midway 28-26, 25-15, 25-12. 

Charlotte Ruiter led the Hornets with eight kills and a .400 hitting percentage.

Taylor Stephens and Halley Johnson each had five kills.

Sara Reathaford had a team-high 11 assists. Jana Molby finished with nine. 

Lizzy Rachiele led the team with 15 digs. Rachel Meston and Halley Johnson each had 10.

Kalamazoo vs. Alice Lloyd

Kalamazoo defeated Alice Lloyd 25-19, 25-22, 25-15 Friday night.

Charlotte Ruiter led the Hornets with 10 kills. Brittany Miller finished with nine.

Sara Reathaford tallied 14 assist while Rorie Dougherty and Jana Molby each had nine.

Rachel Meston led the team with 13 digs.
