BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team won five-set matches over Bluffton University and Geneva College Friday evening at Bluffton's Sommer Center Spiketacular.
Kalamazoo vs. Bluffton
Kalamazoo lost the first two sets (25-22, 25-11) before coming back to win the final three sets to win the match (25-21, 25-18, 15-11).
Brittany Miller led the Hornets with 15 kills. Taylor Stephens added 13.
Sara Reathaford led the team with 24 assists. Rorie Dougherty added 15.
Lizzy Rachiele had a team-high 22 digs.
Kalamazoo vs. Geneva
Kalamazoo won a back-and-forth match over Geneva 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-10.
Unofficially, Josee Cooke led the Hornets with 13 kills. Taylor Stephens and Toni Koshmider each had 11.
Rorie Dougherty posted 24 assists, while Sara Reathaford had 17.
Lizzy Rachiele tallied 28 digs. Dougherty had 19.
All-Tournament Team
Lizzy Rachiele and Brittany Miller were named to the All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the tournament.
