KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team was defeated by Anderson University in a nonconference match at home Wednesday night, 25-23, 25-17, 25-12.
Anderson hit .248 in the match compared to .055 by Kalamazoo.
Savannah Chapie, Taylor Stephens and Toni Koshmider each had five kills to lead the Hornets offensively. Josee Cooke, Brittany Miller and Ann Lawrence each finished with three kills.
Rorie Dougherty had a team-high 11 assists. Jana Molby finished with six.
Rachel Meston led the team with seven digs. Lizzy Rachiele and Taylor Stephens each had six.
Kalamazoo returns to conference play on Friday, Oct. 13, with a home match against Olivet at 7 p.m.
